What Must an Existing Caregiver Complete Before Starting with FFAC?
Published July 27, 2026 · Reviewed August 17, 2026
An existing caregiver may apply to work through FFAC when the participant’s waiver, service plan, relationship rules, and Medicaid requirements permit it. An application does not guarantee employment, payment, or a service start.
Screening and employment steps
The applicant must complete FFAC’s required hiring process, including eligibility-to-work verification, background screening, and any other checks required for the assignment.
Training and work readiness
Requirements include current CPR and TB documentation or the ability to complete them, orientation, assigned training, reliable scheduling, documentation, and use of Alora electronic visit verification.
Authorization still controls the start
The participant’s authorization, applicable relationship rules, FFAC approval, and a confirmed start date must be in place before paid work begins. The main Bring Your Caregiver page explains the full participant pathway. Prospective employees can review FFAC caregiver jobs in Indiana.
